Dear First CIRQUE Conference Participants,<\/p>\n

We remind you some general information about \u201cWhat\u2019s New in Queer Studies?<\/strong>\u201d Conference<\/p>\n

The text of your draft paper (about\u00a020.000\u00a0<\/strong>characters, including spaces) for sharing and discussion at the conference, has to be send no later than February, 28th, 2017 to the following email address:<\/p>\n

cirque.conference2017@gmail.com<\/p>\n

The text should also provide an essential bibliography, your name, surname, email and affiliation.<\/p>\n

All presenters will have then the option to submit the final revised version of their papers for publication in\u00a0Whatever<\/em><\/strong>, the peer-reviewed, open access, international online journal of CIRQUE. The relevant issue of\u00a0Whatever<\/em>\u00a0will be published by the end of 2017.<\/p>\n

The full-text has to be long\u00a040.000<\/strong>\u00a0characters, including spaces, and it has to be redacted in English<\/strong> or Italian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The first issue of\u00a0Whatever<\/em>\u00a0will host the proceedings of the conference. Putting it together will require a considerable amount of highly skilled work, which we believe should be\u00a0rewarded\u00a0appropriately; because CIRQUE does not receive funding, this will prove challenging.\u00a0This is why we would be extremely grateful if you would consider contributing to the publication expenses by adding a donation to your conference fee.<\/p>\n

Add contribution towards the publication of the conference proceedings\u00a0E 25<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The official languages<\/strong> for the paper presentation at the Conference are English<\/strong> and Italian<\/strong>. We kindly ask the participants who would like to present their papers in Italian to prepare also accompanying slides in English<\/strong>, in order to ensure a sufficient basis of discussion with the foreign scholars and participants who do not speak Italian.<\/p>\n

The time for individual papers in parallel sessions will be 30 minutes<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0Each paper will be shortly summed up and contextualized by the author in the first 5-10 minutes<\/strong>, after which the rest of the individual session will be open for general discussion and Q&A.<\/p>\n

Every panel hall will be equipped with a computer, a projector, audio speakers and a screen.<\/p>\n

Conference registration will be\u00a050 E<\/strong>\u00a0for tenured faculty,\u00a025 E<\/strong>\u00a0for everyone else; this will include coffee breaks and lunchs.<\/p>\n

We kindly ask you to complete the fee no later than the\u00a015th March<\/strong>. Failure to comply with the registration payment within the deadline will be considered as a withdrawal from the Conference. https:\/\/cirque.unipi.it\/2017conference\/registration\/<\/a><\/p>\n
